#Berlin FlavourDay

Dialogue about the future of nutrition

The German Association of the Flavour Industry (DVAI) continued the successful history of European FlavourDays with a  #Berlin_FlavourDay. Over 100 guests from politics and business alike came together on the 8th of November to discuss the future of food.

The German flavour industry, under the umbrella of DVAI, presented, the diverse achievements and opportunities of the flavour industry in  areas such as  naturalness, sustainability, innovation, salt and sugar reduction and  created the opportunity for an engaging dialogue with relevant policy stakeholders.

A keynote speech was delivered by Michael Stübgen, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture.

As  is  tradition with  FlavourDays,  guests were invited to taste for themselves how the flavour industry is responding to consumer trends. Tasty sugar-reduced biscuits and protein shakes based on alternative proteins as well as sustainable vanilla and citrus flavours were found in the different booths.
